I would say wait.

My Princess had a reading disorder that we knew about, but couldn't get a handle on what it was. Once we finally were able to figure out the problem and began the solution, her reading took off. There is still an auditory component to spelling for her, and so we do have to work on that purposefully, but didn't begin until last spring. We are using Soar with Spelling and she is doing very, very well with it. We are also using Growing with Grammar and the two together seem to really help things come together.

Logic of English is an amazing program. We are looking at it for high school for Princess; but for where she is just yet, it's a bit much. I think by next fall she'll be ready for it.
