Default Phonetic Zoo (and other Spelling Programs)

Has anyone here used Phonetic Zoo? Could you give a review?

Any other spelling programs you recommend? I need something fairly hands off for me, although I'm willing to do a little bit. I had AAS and I think it was probably too teacher intensive at this point for the kids that I'm using it for.

I love Sequential Spelling, but it's not teacher off. You could get the app or DVD so that it was, but I've heard tell the person who speaks/teaches has a twang & that can make it hard to know which word is being spoken in some instances. Also, sometimes their made up sentences are a little too cutesy. I don't use the DVDs, I simply set a timer & run with it.

I thought I heard a few people mention Phonetic Zoo, but I'm not sure if they still frequent the forums as their children have hit high school levels..

I would be most content if my children grew up to be the kind of people who think decorating consists mostly of building enough bookshelves.
