    Default Monday DECLUTTERING

This Week's Challenge: Choose on project or extra item on your to do list that needs doing. This is a week to tackle something out of the norm. It could be hoeing out a closet, deep cleaning something that's been waiting, washing curtains, cleaning a window, etc. Maybe you can choose more than one if they are small nagging items.

School Challenge: Book challenge! Gather, organize, assign, start something new, library business, etc.

Inspiring Thought: It may be taken for granted that, rash as the Americans are, when they are prudent there is good reason for it. - Jules Verne, Around the World in 80 Days

    For me today:
    • finish a blog post- I published it unfinished! It's a list of field trip venues in upstate NY and I didn't finish annotating the list. I will do that as I can this morning and hopefully be all done.
    • prep my co-op class lesson- Around the World in 80 Days today and next week. I saved my favorite for last and I'm glad I did!
    • send links to a client
    • update the church website
    • co-op this afternoon- which involves getting dh first. He has an appt at the same time and we have one car. oops! Not sure why he chose or agreed to that slot. oh well!
    • possibly sell dept store booklets- at the store for robotics fundraising
    • school planning
    • clean the kitchen- with help
    • make some blog orders- possibly (some equipment like a camera card for my blog, a new microphone for podcasts, and scrivener for writing)
    • school time- math and writing today along with co-op and robotics

My day is off and running!

I hope you all have a terrific start to the new week!

    Good Morning Ladies,

CH1: Yes! Well, we still have extra furniture in the "play room" from Dan's grandpa. I need to figure out what to do with it, like yesterday!

CH2: Sounds good. I made some requests yesterday and need to decide when I am going to pick them up this week.

    so far:
    Bible reading
    made scrambled eggs for everyone
    showered/ dressed
got girls started on independent work
    sent e-mails.

    up next:
    morning time
    figure out dinner - eek!
    possible community group visit tonight

    Have a good day ladies!

    Good morning!

We've been out and about already this morning. The cats had their last vaccinations this morning and we also ran by the bank. I did a load of laundry before we left.

    The rest:
*school--not totally sure what this will look like today, but it will definitely include having the IEW stuff done before 4h. I dropped the ball this week.
    *clean out fridges
    *hall bathroom
*clean out under the kitchen sink
*work at least 15 minutes on the pantry
    *mail bills
    *pack school
    *pack lunches

I think that's it, but there's always more to choose from if I get all that done. Ha!

Have a great day today, friends!

Heather -- hope all works out on car & appointments

Jen -- up & out this morning!

Gray damp day after storms last night. Ds1 got up and waited to see if working. Boss said no so he called Grammie to say could help Gramps today.

Gramps was taking on a big project sometime this week...when the boys could help.

My mom's oven is old and built in. It has been dying for several years but finally to point where can't really cook. The big oven doesn't work. The small side works when It wants to. Only 1 eye works.

So today the boys are over helping Gramps take out the old stove and hopefully replace it with a new one. Hope the new one fits!

This is like mama's old stove. The eyes slide out when using and slide back in when done.

    So far:

    • did the work drop
    • breakfast and morning meeting- including a chapter of Anne of Avonlea
    • continued adding annotation to my blog post
    • working on gathering my lesson items
    • sent a quick link to a client- need to send more later
    • printing the maps for today now

I need to eat and grab a deck of cards so we can maybe play the game that Phileas Fogg was playing at the start of the book.

Today is speeding by and I feel behind!

Hello all It's almost noon here, so I know most of you are past lunchtime .....

Heather -- so is next week your last coop class? Your lessons always sound so interesting

Jen -- I know you're happy cat vaccines are done -- I know it's a long process for puppies (not to mention expensive....)

Angela -- what type of "extra" furniture do you have sitting around? Do you have a spot picked out for it?

Michelle -- I don't think I've ever seen a stove that looks like that!

    * something woke me up at 4 -- no clue what? maybe one of the dogs?
-- then the coffee came on at 4:30 -- I'd moved up the delay timer because Jim had to go in to work early this morning, but I'd neglected to change the actual TIME, so it came on at 4:30 instead of 5:30 Needless to say, I didn't want to get out of bed at 6, but I did.
-- about 7:30 left with Ben to take Scrat (the squirrel dog, who is now right at 1) to the vet to get fixed. Got home about 9. Have to go back late this afternoon to pick him up.
    -- talked to my Mama
-- talked to another friend about a question (quick conversation)
    * did school with Ben
    * helped Cale with a few things
    now it's lunchtime

    * I need to figure out supper
    * and I need to majorly TIDY the house -- I'm hosting a jewelry party for my friend who sells jewelry. It's been over 1 1/2 years since the last party I hosted, and she needs the business, so I agreed. It's tomorrow night. Currently, my dining room is my SEWING room with 2 extra card tables set up with material all over them. Gotta get it all cleaned up and tidy.
    * Plus, I need to figure out the snack menu. And I think I've left 2 pitchers at the church, so I need to run over there and get those to make tea.
    * and I need to send text reminders to all who may be interested in coming tomorrow night.

Tidying should take a while. The house isn't dirty (we cleaned big time) -- it's tidying and getting stuff in its proper place

And I need to start a new book with Ben -- I'm thinking about the Doll People -- he's never read that before. Do you think he'd like it? Cale loved it, but we read it with the girls. I think he'd enjoy it.... Anyone read it to a 9 year old boy?

Good afternoon, ladies! We are having a mixed up, no idea what we're doing, probably totally non-productive day here. Let's just say by the time MOST of you east-coaster's were stumbling out of bed (I know there are one or two who might have already been up), I had already been to Philadelphia & back (it was still an hour before sunrise when I got BACK )! I was able to go back to sleep for a few hours, but now I don't know whether I'm coming or going. TJ was quick sick and miserable last night after having slept the better part of the day (definitely a decent fever going), but is somewhat better now. Phoebe has a sore throat which has been eased somewhat by some of my oils, but she's still pretty much lying around whimpering. Dance company policy (keep in mind these are all pretty much teens and above) is pretty much come to class, use tons of hand sanitizer, and participate off to the side unless you have a fever or are throwing up. She doesn't qualify on either count. I mean, being in company is a serious commitment, way beyond just taking a class. But I'm still feeling a little mixed. Meanwhile, due to the craziness of the past week, I missed most of my doses of the immune system supplement I take daily, which I may sorely regret. I did tell TJ if I find one more dirty Kleenex lying around I might just kill him.

    • Finished baking cookies for open houses at 3:30 am.
    • Back up at 7:00 am to do final set-up for both.
    • People flowing through the house & back yard 10:00-4:00.
    • Decent sales for me -- four customers, I think?
    • Tried to unpack inventory & organize things in between.
    • Finished paying bills & such on & off through the day.
    • Friend came over to help with meltdown over finances.
    • Packed up/loaded all our inventory into MIL's van.
    • Out to dinner/helped same friend clean up her own mess.
    • Tidied up, cleaned kitchen, did a bit of paperwork.
    • Guys were out at a train playdate until after I went to bed.

    • All but TJ headed to church/Sunday school.
    • Handed out more OCC boxes. Next week, they return.
    • Quick stop at Target to do a return.
    • In-home LLR shoe. Went really well. Best sales to date.
    • Dave delivered a pair of leggings for us.
    • Unloaded/unpacked everything back into Lula room.
    • Made Mexican for dinner. TJ slept through it.
    • Went to the ATM that takes cash deposits & did.
    • Returned MIL's van/retrieved my Prius
    • Texted piano teacher to cancel Phoebe's lesson.
    • Texted BSF leader that I probably wasn't coming.
    • Got Phoebe tucked into bed. SO tired.
    • Contemplated things to do for the week .
    • Cleaned up at least some of my mess.
    • Tried to sleep for a few hours before the Philly run.

Those of you who truly know me realize that in between there were about seventeen thousand other things that I would normally have been listing all along, but I'm too tired at this point to remember that I did them .

    Next up... today !

Cari, that's being up and out early!!

Paige, thankfully their early vaccines and boosters were included in their adoption fee, but I'm glad to have it finished up because our vet is half an hour away, so even a quick trip takes more than an hour. They are good, though, so I don't mind the drive too much! I think he would like The Doll People! Ds was younger when we read the first one, but we've read the sequels as he's gotten older and he's still enjoyed them.

Michelle, I haven't seen a stove like that, either!

We finished up one of our read alouds (Memory Maze) and read some more on the other (Wonder). While I was reading, the kids worked some on their rooms. I also got their flannel sheets on their bed and their old ones are washing now.

Now kids are eating lunch and I need to edit ds's paper so that will be ready for him to type after he eats and then I'll do some school with dd!

And today. Sigh. I honestly don't know if I'll get ANYTHING done. And I'm not sure I care. I mean, I care. But yet not. Does that make any sense?

    So far today:

    • Up, dressed & out the door by 3:30 am.
    • Tried to answer emails & such on the way down.
    • Dropped Dave off at the train station. Unknown return.
    • Back home; really not sure how I made it.
    • Puttered around for about half an hour.
    • Back to bed; was able to sleep for about 4 hours.
    • Up, dressed again . Why did I wear makeup at 3:00 am?
    • Made bed, tidied bedroom & bathroom.
    • Put away accumulated pile of clothes from weekend.
    • Collected laundry & got a load started.
    • Refilled all my pill sorters for the week.
    • Fixed all the clocks TJ missed. There were lots.
    • Downstairs; assessed health statuses
    • Called MIL to see if she had my missing cup.
    • Checked email, FB, etc. Responded.
    • Put in support ticket for issue with LLR portal.
    • Started working on Young Living order.
    • Researched YMCA memberships/insurance rules.
    • Set up health insurance fitness account for Phoebe.
    • Sent out a few texts/emails/FB messages.
    • Emptied/reloaded dishwasher; tidied kitchen.
    • Had TJ bring up chicken to thaw for dinner.
    • Called YMCA about holiday specials.
    • Did a bit of back & forth LLR work. Much more to do.
    • Determined XFinity is having issues .
    • Texted BSF leader that I'm not coming.

Not even sure what I want to tackle next. Hmmmm.... maybe a nap?

    • Decide about dance; call studio if she's not going.
    • Back out to the car to search for my missing cup.
    • Advance laundry; start second load (it's a BIG pile).
    • Should probably eat something at some point.
    • Call dentist to reschedule. Just isn't the right week.
    • Send out a few LLR emails/FB messages. Mostly thank you's.
    • Try to get pictures taken of our newest inventory.
    • Submit damage claims for a few returns. You'll have that.
    • Update inventory to reflect items sold this weekend.
    • Back upstairs to swap out laundry again.
    • Maybe work on homework for bible study tomorrow night.
    • Get dinner started; lemon-garlic chicken in the IP.
    • Evaluate a few grocery needs; decide who will go.
    • TJ or I will take Phoebe to dance if she's going.
    • Continue LLR work either way. Going to be a but month.
    • Do some organizing on phone & iPad. Apps are messed up.
    • Clean up kitchen; tidy under sink (FLM).
    • Another stab at the pantry (also FLM).
    • Maybe hang out & watch something with Phoebe.
    • Make plan for tomorrow depending on everyone's health.
    • Downstairs tidy; up-down basket, etc.
    • Process completed laundry & all to put away.
    • Get Phoebe tucked into bed; wish I could now!
    • Spend a little time with TJ if he wants.
    • Go to bed. Probably. Time change + this morning =

And that's that. Really need to do the eating thing...
