    Hey all

Elizabeth — sorry your dd is under the weather. ‘‘Tis the season, I guess

Ben lay on the couch til after lunch. I gave him some of the chicken soup for lunch, and he peeked up
    Afterwards. Let’s hope it’s over!!!

    Big kids did some school
Ben watched lots of tv, and then I insisted he move to
Some libertys kids and magic school bus
After Ben felt better, we read
The boys and I played catan
Cooked easy supper — honey mustard chicken, rice, butter beans, pears
    — worked on french with the girls.

Speaking of french — Heather, are you doing the tests as prescribed for the breaking the Spanish barrier? We’re snjoying this french program SO much better!!

Been on the phone a lot today trying to get final jewelry party orders and been working on my order (mainly lots of free stuff )

Hope y’all have a good evening

Heather — looking forward to the story!!!

9:00 pm. The day is winding down. Dave is home, we had dinner, and he's now in the basement hanging out with TJ. Phoebe is working on a presentation of estar vs tenar, which I'm assuming someone who understands Spanish might actually understand, but I don't. We have been able to pinpoint that I am 1/4 Irish, 1/4 Italian and/or Austrian (small geographic area that has been both at various points), 1/4 Dutch, and 1/4 can't trace back far enough. Gotta love our missionary friend -- she's been pouring through records for hours. And she thinks it's FUN!

Time to check the list & see what's left...

    So far today:

    • Up, dressed in cleaning clothes, and yeah.
    • Made bed, tidied bedroom & bathroom.
    • Put flea market donations back. Not happening.
    • Got load #1 (of probably 2) of laundry started.
    • Dusted/vacuumed stairs (TJ) and upstairs.
    • Collected upstairs trash. Lots of Kleenex !
    • Cleaned both upstairs bathrooms.
    • Processed upstairs-downstairs basket.
    • Tidied both kids' rooms a bit. I do feel bad for them.
    • Assessed school situation. Remarkably well.
    • Called youth pastor to cancel tonight's presence.
    • Email, FB messages, etc. All pretty quiet.
    • Updated list of things to do. Sigh.
    • Cleaned powder room. Guest-ready.
    • Phoebe advanced laundry & started load #2.
    • Talked briefly to Dave. We're eating out.
    • TJ left for Baltimore to pick up Dave.
    • Learned how to change the vacuum bag. Easy
    • Dusted (Phoebe)/vacuumed the downstairs.
    • Did a fridge purge. It's rather empty now.
    • Got a batch of iced tea brewing for Dave.
    • Put away last night's hand-washed things.
    • Loaded/ran dishwasher. It was full.
    • Decluttered kitchen counter (FLM). Liking it!
    • Cleaned out under the sink (FLM).
    • Sent a couple bags of trash to the curb.
    • Mopped the foyer & kitchen floors.
    • FB'd my cousin about a genealogy question.
    • Ongoing FB genealogy questions.
    • Got all my various items charged for tomorrow.
    • Helped keep Phoebe focused on school.
    • Some online LLR/FB work; monitored sales (got one!).
    • Bailed on bazaar; we'll just go to shop.
    • Emptied/reloaded dishwasher. Final kitchen tidy.
    • Went upstairs & finally got dressed for real.
    • Processed first load of laundry; second still drying.
    • Tried to make LLR numbers work. Unsuccessfully.
    • Guys arrived home around 5:00 pm.
    • TJ insisted he didn't need urgent care. I was outvoted.
    • Out to dinner. Tried to discuss too many issues .
    • Multiple calls with LLR. Resolved some issues.
    • Got Phoebe working on finishing up school.

    Up next:

    • Back up my laptop. Need to do some work with pictures.
    • Make up a list of information Dave needs for doctors' appt.
    • School things away for the week; backpacks packed.
    • Downstairs tidy; process up-down basket.
    • Process completed laundry; make TJ's bed.
    • Get Phoebe tucked into bed by 10:30 pm.
    • Finish up any last-call items. Hopefully none.
    • Final run-through of what I need to take/do tomorrow.
    • Bedtime for me. And oh, will be ready!!

So not done, but progressing. Hoping to have Phoebe to bed by shortly after 10:00 pm so I can go to bed myself.

Paige -- the method is suppose to be for carpet & always test in inconspicuous spot 1st. Spray spot with windex. Take a wet/damp white towel, lay on spot. Run a hot iron over the towel. Pull towel up and scrub spot with clean damp towel.
Sounds weird but does pull up stains.
Our furniture is old and ratty so I thought I would try it. Made it look better.

    • made HUGE mess in my room...couldn't see my bed or most of floor
    • organized some totes & Christmas presents I have
    • sent pics of some items to friends, gave away said items
    • cooked supper, ate & cleaned kitchen
    • swept kitchen & dining room
    • found my bed
    • showered
    • moved load towels to dryer
