Default Food Suggestions for these books

    Hi all,

I am rowing a few books in a co-op setting with K & 1st grade aged kids, spending two meetings on a given title. The kids loved having hot chocolate with "Night of the Moonjellies". Any suggestions for the following books and food/beverage:

    Night of Moonjellies-hot chocolate
    Mike Mulligan
    Cranberry Thanksgiving-cranberry loaf
Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
    Owl Moon
    The Story of Ferdinan
    Peter Rabbit
    Make Way for Ducklings

Jamon Serrano for Ferdinand. You could make a potato omelet called Tortilla Española. They take a while, though. About an hour to make a real tortilla.

You could have "nice hot apple pies" like Mrs. McGillicuddy makes for Mike Mulligan. If there were no allergies you could have peanuts (like the people threw to Mr. and Mrs. Mallard) for Make Way for Ducklings. Another kind of hot drink would be nice after a night of owling - since you've already done hot chocolate, maybe apple cider?

The cookbook is a really wonderful addition if you want to add it to your collection. We have loved this part of FIAR. Sounds like y'all are having a great time at your co-op!
